What is Moon? Moon is our mind,emotions,type of mother,caring nature,etc.
What is 1st house? First house is our self,personality,life path,appearance,etc.
So,persons having Moon in 1st house will have all the qualities like motherly nature,caring,emotional. They are sensitive people. They always look upon themselves like how they look,how to gain for self or near and dear,etc. So,they are kind of a selfish people. They have gentle and handsome appearance. As ascendant and Moon are coming together,if they take a decision then they will implement it without a second thought,because their body and mind are in sync.
Their life path is impacted more by their mother as Moon itself represents mother. This can go either way, good or bad depending upon mother's nature. So,mother can be a great driving force for them through their entire life.
Moon aspects the 7th house from itself(Aspect is the sight made by the planet to influence a house or planet. Let's cover them in depth later). So,for now Moon sitting in the first house directly aspects the 7th house. This aspect makes a person hangout with other people and spouse emotionally(or other 7th house matters). In this way they feel mental balance.
